AVOCADO GREEN MATTRESS

For Avocado Green Mattress, we created two cinematic ad spots—A Lasting Impression and Soft Landings—starring Shanika Hillocks.

The campaigns were launched through paid social, and aim to translate the brand’s commitment to sustainability and comfort, into a tactile, sensory experience.

Creative Approach:

In this video, we’ll capture what it means to create a lasting impression. We want viewers to experience the soft, sinking comfort of lounging on a fully sustainable Avocado Mattress, right through the screen. As Shanika presses her hands and body into the mattress, she reflects on what it means to make a “signature impression” when furnishing a space—how foundational pieces, like a mattress, can truly shape the experience of a home. The video should evoke a dreamy, free-flowing, and serene atmosphere, capturing the abundant comfort and sustainability of the Avocado Mattress.
Creative Approach:
In Soft Landings, we move between two worlds: the sharp, fast-paced rhythm of Shanika’s day in New York, and the calm, grounding energy of home. Her Avocado mattress becomes the bridge—where she lands, breathes, and resets. Her fingers move across the mattress—mirroring her day. When they stop, she pauses. When they sit, she grabs a coffee. So on and so forth. Her fingers leap, mid-air. As if in anticipation, we see a breathtaking slow motion shot of Shanika turning around to look straight into the camera breaking the fourth wall. As her fingers fall into the mattress, cut to calm. A wide, slow motion shot: she falls gently into the mattress. After a long day— she finally lands, softly.
Original Script:
We move fast
Coffee in one hand
Phone in the other
Dodging cabs.
Double-parking thoughts.
Talking about talking—
Deals on the F train,
dreams in a deli line.
We move like we’re chased.
By time.
By noise.
By what’s next.
Laughing,
Yelling,
Breathing—
over sirens,
under scaffolding,
through revolving doors.
Presence is power.
And here we are
Loud and alive
in a city that never stops—
but we do.
Everyone needs to land somewhere
and we land
softly.
